What is NXT Health?

NXT Health (pronounced “next”) is a non-profit think tank that fosters creativity to improve healthcare. We provide opportunities for designers, providers, industry, and advocates to create and exchange new ideas that solve relevant problems in healthcare.

Is NXT Health a design firm?

No. Although our focus is using design to create new ideas for healthcare, we are not a firm that you can hire to provide design services for a specific project. There are many firms that are doing great work in healthcare and we would be happy to connect you!

How is NXT Health funded?

Our organization is funded primarily through industry sponsorships at both the organizational and project levels. We supplement this funding through fees from workshops, events, grants and advisory services.

How do you engage with healthcare providers?

We’re glad you asked. We are always looking for forward-thinking healthcare providers to serve as project advisors, jurors for our competitions, and beta test sites for new concepts. In addition, we offer workshops to inspire creative thinking and help discover internal opportunities for innovation. Please contact us for more information.

How do you work with companies?

We provide opportunities for companies to not only sponsor projects, but to be integrally involved in the collaborative development of ideas. We carefully select companies who have demonstrated thought leadership in their industry and a commitment to continually refining their products and services to help move healthcare forward. I’m a designer, how do I get involved?

We love designers of all shapes and sizes! Our work would not be possible without great design-centered minds. Currently, our internal design team is full, but we would love to hear from you and learn about your passions. We have future projects in the works that will need additional design resources, so it’s great to have your information. Also, stay tuned for the launch of our new design competition in 2015.
